Materials that need special handling

Paint, chemicals, pesticides, pool chemicals and other household hazardous waste should not be mixed into a normal junk load. Kern County's Bakersfield Special Waste Facility handles residential HHW at 4951 Standard Street. Construction debris, green waste and tires also have different facility rules than ordinary household furniture at Roberts Lane.
